Dora and the Magic Fish
Three wishes for three toys
What would happen if in the famous fairy tale by Aleksandr Pushkin the parts were swapped? What if the old fisherman Ivan, after catching the gold fish, told his daughter Anna Polina and his brother Dimitri what happened? How would a boy's wishes differ from a girl's if they were confronted with a golden minnow that can grant at most three wishes?
The wishes would start with sophisticated toys with automatisms that in the long run would turn out to have little participation on the part of the two boys, in short toys that 'play by themselves', making the children mere passive spectators and limiting their ability to make even a simple gesture other than deciding to turn it off.
Hence, the second desire goes towards a toy that can be handled and controlled.
And finally, the last wish: Anna Polina will ask her brother Dimitri to play with him in their father Ivan's boat, who will tell them a fairy tale...
